AshleyAfter having my girly girl, Ava, in April of 08, and spending oodles of money on hairbows to match every piece of clothing, I decided it was time. Time to learn how to make her own bows! And learn I did! Because I enjoyed making her bows, and had so many girl momma friends ask me to make some for them, I decided to launch my own line of unique, affordable bows for all girly girls and moms of girly girls alike, to gawk over! My business has taken off in such a way that it's inspired me to stay at home, make more baby and child items, and enjoy my life as a mommy and an accessorizer!! As a New York native transplanted in Texas, I found myself in a little part-time job as a teacher's aide
in a Pre-K classroom. Pregnant with my 5th (and last!) child, I
enjoyed the time away from the house and began building a friendship
with my co-worker--Ashley. Ashley could not stop talking
about how she wanted to make kids clothes and accessories, and when she
started making bows, I knew she had a talent for it. Add in the fact
that my favorite hobby is quilting, and the two of us were pretty much
destined to continue working together once we both decided to stay at
home full time with our babies. Working with a perfectionist like
Ashley would be a lot more difficult if I weren't such a perfectionist
myself in my sewing projects!
I guess at this point you could say that kids are my life--my 5
kids keep me pretty on my toes, and outfitting little sweeties across
the country keeps me pretty busy as well! I have been blessed beyond
measure to be a part of SheShe Made from its very beginning, and I can't
tell you how much I adore making custom clothes for your sweet and precious little ones!
